The training course covers the basic principles and rules for the recognition and measurement under IFRS, and will focus on areas that are addressed differently under Czech Accounting Standards (tangible and intangible assets/property, plant and equipment, leases, provisions, etc.).

Who are the intended participants?

  • Employees of accounting departments responsible for statutory financial statements and consolidation under IFRS.
  • Employees of reporting departments engaged in the preparation of reporting packages under IFRS.
  • Employees of companies ready for IFRS conversion.
  • Anybody who uses reports prepared in accordance with IFRS and needs to know basic IFRS principles.

Programme

  • IAS 1: Conceptual framework and structure of reports and notes under IFRS.
  • IAS 16, IAS 38, IAS 40 and IFRS 5: Introduction and comparison of standards outlining the accounting treatment of property, plant and equipment.
  • IAS 36: Impairment of assets.
  • IAS 37: Provisions, contingent liabilities and contingent assets – major differences compared with Czech legislation.
  • IAS 17: Existing treatment of operating and finance leases.
