Power BI

The training course is organised in cooperation with the KPMG Business Institute in Slovakia.

The training course is designed for anyone who wants to learn to work with the Power BI application. The benefits of the training course and the implementation of the application include the automation of financial and management accounting, integration with other applications, combination of data sources and data visualisation.

You will learn to save time and make your and your team's work more effective. Many reports that are currently prepared using Excel can be automated, and instead of hours of work, your results can be updated in several minutes.

Using Power BI to optimise financial and management accounting

All participants work on their own computers during the practical training. Gradually, they learn to apply Power BI functionality and create their own report on a model example.

• Introduction to Power BI – basic overview of individual parts of Power BI
• Power Query – data processing
• Data sources – how to connect to the most common data sources
• Data transformation and data model preparation
• Data modelling – creating data models and relationships
• Analytics in DAX language – the most frequently used functions of the DAX language
• Statistical and time intelligence functions
• Case study – implementation of power BI solution (business case)

Contents Day 2

• Filtering and processing functions
• Interactions – report control and navigation
• Visualisation – understanding the most frequently used Power BI visualisations
• Reporting – how to create the most common reports
• Publishing and sharing reports
• Tips & Tricks for users
• Case study – implementation of power BI solution (business case)

Fee: EUR 580 excl. VAT/person

The training fee will be invoiced in euro upon completion of the training course.

Important information:

As this training will be interactive and hands-on, it is essential that each participant has their own work laptop with the Power BI application pre-installed, ideally with the October 2022 version (which will be used by our lecturers). Everyone will work independently under the supervision of our experienced lecturers.

Registration for the training is open until 28 November 2022 at 2 pm.

The training will take place at the premises of KPMG Slovakia. Should the pandemic situation change in any way, we will inform you about the date change in due time.
