Selected interpretations of the National Accounting Council

Who are the intended participants?

• The course is designed for chief accountants and controlling and finance staff who often seek solutions to non-standard and standard accounting problems

Programme

• The National Accounting Council (NAC) and its framework for preparing and approving interpretations (NAC's foreword to its interpretations)
• Explanation of selected currently applicable interpretations with examples and highlighting the key implications of implementing the interpretation
• Interpretations currently being prepared, in the stage of a draft, internal comment procedure or external comment procedure
• NAC interpretations on foreign currency advance payments and foreign currency receivables and payables
• NAC interpretations on income tax and deferred tax
• NAC interpretations on fixed assets, their classification, determination of the time of depreciation, etc.
• Corrections of errors, changes in accounting estimates, changes in accounting policies and post-balance sheet events
• NAC interpretations on subsidies

• be able to assess when it is necessary to seek information outside Czech accounting legislation and in the NAC’s interpretations
• understand the IFRS principles implemented in the interpretations
• be better prepared for the new Accounting Act, as the approaches applied in the interpretations will be part of the new accounting legislation

The NAC’s interpretations address accounting issues that are not regulated by Czech accounting legislation or whose solution in practice is inconsistent.
