Who are the intended participants?

  • Executives, sales managers and employees of tax or accounting departments who have clients realising international transactions in their portfolio (import, export, acquisition of goods from or supply of goods to the EU).
  • Procurement/purchase and sales department employees, logistics and finance department employees or customs clearance agents who need to expand their existing knowledge of this topic.

Programme

  • Trading in goods within the EU:
    • supplying goods to the EU – conditions for VAT exemption,
    • transfers of own goods within the EU,
    • special VAT regimes:
      • triangular and chain transactions,
      • consignment warehouses,
      • consigning goods,
    • reporting – the EU Sales List, Intrastat,
    • VAT treatment of a branch.
  • Providing and receiving services within cross-border transactions:
    • transportation services,
    • VAT treatment of a branch.
  • Trading in goods with countries outside the EU:
    • indirect exports.
